HOW TO GET HERE: Drive north on 35 to Cloquet. Continue on 33 to 53 to Virginia, MN. Just through Virginia take 169 east (toward Ely) to our resort sign 2 miles south of Tower
PUBLIC AIR TRANSPORATION: Public air transportation is available to Duluth and Hibbing, MN. Transportation can be arranged from the Hibbing and Duluth airports.
PRIVATE AIR TRANSPORTATION: Tower Municipal Airport has a 3400′ paved runway with pilot controlled lights and fuel. It is located across the bay from Glenmore Resort. We will pick you up at the adjacent seaplane base.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary at Glenmore Resort. Since it was our first time staying with you we naturally did not know what to expect. Your hospitality shown toward our whole family was very welcoming and appreciated. We caught a lot of fish and took time to experience other activities in the area. The Tower Soudan Underground Mine trip was an education about iron ore mining, and an eye opener to the hardships endured by the miners. Your other guests were a lot of fun to be with too. Our cabin provided everything we needed to be comfortable for our week’s stay. The porch with the single beds were our favorite hang out in the evening with the cool breezes blowing off of the lake and view of the grandkids swimming right below us. There can’t be a better beach and swimming area anywhere which was totally unexpected for a big lake such as Lake Vermilion. Thanks again for your great resort and service!
