2007 - 2008 Winter Rates

Winter at Glenmore is a magical time. Snow covers the tall pines, the lake is still, and the deer, grouse, and rabbits are daily visitors. When most resorts have closed and visitors have disappeared, the Glenmore remains open with seven cabins for rent. All cabins are warm and snug. They feature knotty pine interiors, carpeting, and artwork with modern indoor baths and fully equipped kitchens. All have microwaves and most have dishwashers and fireplaces. We also offer free wireless internet access.

"Retreat" yourself at the Glenmore, where memories are made and time stands still...

Activities

Glenmore's location is ideal. Our secluded, private complex is located only two miles from tower for convenient shopping and services. Internationally famous Ely, MN is located only 25 minutes drive from the Glenmore. Within minutes you can be at  Fortune Bay Casino. The International Wolf Center, the North American Bear Center, and a great unique north woods shopping district is found in Ely. Lake Vermilion is located near the Superior National Forest and serves as an access point into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Other nearby attractions include Ironworld, the US Hockey Hall of Fame, and the Vince Shute Bear Sanctuary.

Glenmore is at the hub of many snowmobile trails and spurs, including marked lakes and rivers. We're located on the Arrowhead and Taconite trails so the snowmobiling is always great whether you choose to ride the endless miles of groomed trails or the frozen lake with its 1,200 miles of shoreline and many bays. Gas is available on the premises.

Also nearby you'll find great downhill and cross-country skiing, ice fishing packages, dog sledding, snowshoeing and skating. Giants Ridge Ski Area is 25 minutes away. There are also snowmobiles and fish houses for rent nearby. Enjoy the beauty of the Northland in winter!
